Position Summary:
As a Service Technician, you will be the front-line solution to technical issues at client locations, addressing post-installation and warranty-related repair work. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you’ll be part of a small team, where your commitment to quality and hands-on attitude will drive your success.

This is a full-time position that requires strong detail-oriented, organization, and teamwork skills and someone who is well versed in glass line and production environments. The successful candidate will be disciplined, punctual, and a strong team player dedicated to generating an engaged and safe work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to client locations to investigate assigned service tickets and complete re-measures of windows and doors.
  2. Provide excellent customer service; advise customers of issues and possible solutions while being courteous and kind.
  3. Complete service call reports, order necessary stock supplies.
  4. Perform window and door installations for smaller service jobs.
  5. Specify any additional equipment or materials needed on the re-measure form to complete the job.
  6. Collaborate with the Order Desk, Production, and Purchasing teams to address and resolve complex job-related questions or issues.
  7. Handle deliveries or pickups as required for job sites.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in residential or commercial Window and/or Door installation, or.
  2. Minimum of 3 years experience with trim (casings) work and framing in construction renovation projects or a related field.
  3. Knowledge in adhering to all health & safety practices with a working knowledge of relevant Ministry of Labour requirements.
  4. Excellent Customer Service skills with strength in negotiation.
  5. Good professional English verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  7. Ability to read/interpret drawings and architectural details.
  8. Demonstrated record of reliable attendance and punctuality.
  9. Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  10. Possesses an Ontario G Class Driver License and excellent knowledge of the Central Ontario area.
  11. Must pass a criminal record, driver’s abstract, and reference background checks.
