Job summary

Ozz Electric BC Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to join the team.

The role focuses on overseeing assigned projects, including new construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, invoicing, and material handling, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer relations. The candidate should have a Red Seal certification (preferred) and 2+ years of field experience, with solid attention to detail, teamwork ability, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects including new construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, customer relations/client facing, on-the-job problem solving, invoicing, and material ordering.
  • Complete safety paperwork related to tasks and report time accurately.
  • Maintain task trackers and schedules; communicate with supervisor.
  • Provide recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
  • Travel to job sites and uphold high standards of professionalism and safety.

Job description

Ozz Electric BC Inc. is looking for a Service Technician to join the team.

ROLE

The Service Technician will be responsible for overseeing projects allocated to them including (but not limited to) new construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, customer relations/ client facing, on-the-job problem solving, use and care of driving company property, manage time effectively and efficiently, invoicing, and billing, collecting payments, material ordering and receiving, and any other tasks deemed appropriate by the head of the department.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all safety paperwork related to their tasks
  • Responsible for time management, reporting accurate time at job sites/time cards, and staying accountable for those reports.
  • Accurately filling out all paperwork required for the task at hand.
  • Ensure task trackers and schedules are maintained in a timely fashion
  • Take ownership and pride in the assigned tasks.
  • Company vehicle reporting, maintenance, and care
  • Company tool reporting, maintenance, and care.
  • Daily communication and coordination with direct supervisor or any other delegate deemed appropriate.
  • Customer service/client facing will be kept to a high standard of cleanliness, and professionalism, excellent communication skills with all persons involved and the proper attitude to represent OZZ Electric in a public fashion.
  • Provide recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.

  • Any and all other duties as assigned to meet Company objectives.
Educational And Professional Requirements
  • Minimum of a Red Seal certification (preferred)
  • FSR an asset (any level)
  • Additional experience is a requirement (minimum 2+ years in the field)
  • Additional schooling related to the trade also an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment but also work alone
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Experience in QA/QC, Distribution, or Maintenance an asset

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited information exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Travel is required for job sites all over the Lower Mainland.

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime (as required)
  • Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required
