Job summary

OZZ Electric BC, a leading contractor expanding to Victoria, is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician. You will contribute on high-rise and commercial projects, mentor apprentices, and support foremen to deliver state-of-the-art installations.

We value safety, teamwork, and timely project completion. The role involves indoor/outdoor work in all weather, with a typical schedule and potential overtime, and a path for career growth within the OZZ Group of Companies.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician ticket required.
• Red Seal is an asset.
• Experience on high-rise and/or commercial projects preferred.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing electrical equipment per blueprints and the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Terminate wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices.
• Observe functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Testing continuity of circuits to ensure integrity and safety.

Summary

Are you a dynamic Journeyperson Electrician committed to safety and teamwork? Do you excel in a progressive and rewarding environment? We are looking for you! OZZ Electric BC is an industry leading contractor working on exciting high-rise residential and commercial projects across the lower mainland. You will join our growing team as a key member on the tools, both mentoring apprentices and assisting foremen, in order to help build state-of-the-art projects for our clients. Please note, we are expanding to Victoria. We are looking for people to join us on Vancouver Island.

Responsibilities

• Installing electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications
• Connecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
• Terminating wiring in generators, transfer switches, and junction devices
• Observing functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
• Testing continuity of circuits to ensure integrity and safety

Educational And Professional Requirements

• Journeyperson Electrician ticket (Red Seal an asset)
• Experience working on high rise and/or commercial new construction projects
• Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements
• Excellent communication and time management skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Typical 5-day work week; overtime may be required to meet construction deadlines
• Local work in Victoria
