Job summary

Sport Chek in Canada is seeking a Service Shop Technician to interact with customers, assess their needs, and set up, repair, and maintain sporting equipment. You will help athletes get back to living “The Power of Sport” while following safety standards and manufacturer specs.

You’ll assemble, mount, wax, and tune skis and snowboards, maintain gear, and deliver an exceptional customer experience to support team performance targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of previous work experience in a ski/snowboard shop.
• Some, Intermediate, or Advanced experience working on skis or snowboards.
• Previous ski, snowboard experience.

As a Service Shop Technician, you’re as good with people as you are with your hands. After all, it’s your job to interact with customers, assess their needs, and then setup, repair, and maintain their sporting equipment. In helping athletes get back to living “The Power of Sport”, all safety measures will be taken to ensure their equipment is serviced to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Our typical hiring range is between $17.75 and $26.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
