Role Overview:

You will be responsible for selling advanced Hitachi Energy products, systems, and solutions related to our Engineering & Service Portfolio in Canada. Reporting to the Service Sales Manager, you will leverage your passion and experience to foster long-term customer relationships and identify effective solutions to meet customer needs.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Manage, penetrate, and expand service offerings at key accounts within the Utility and Industrial sectors in Ontario.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and understanding of customer needs. Align the service portfolio to support customers’ short- and long-term goals.
  • Drive sales growth across the pillars of Hitachi Energy’s Engineering & Service portfolio.
  • Develop customer and regional market sales plans with support from marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop regional market opportunities in collaboration with market managers.
  • Monitor customer and market trends to craft effective sales and marketing strategies in partnership with the Marketing team.
  • Grow the opportunity pipeline and maintain forecast accuracy using Salesforce.
  • Review the Hitachi Energy install base, analyze data, and propose strategies to leverage asset intelligence.
  • Maintain market analysis on Hitachi Energy and competitors to support strategic decisions.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Your Background:

  • Engineering degree, Bachelor’s, Technologist Diploma, or proven outside sales experience.
  • Over 3 years of sales experience.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Substation, Transmission, Distribution, Generation, and local market dynamics is an asset.
  • Understanding of Transformers, Breakers, Protection & Control, and Substation equipment is an asset.
  • Proven success in selling services.
  • Ability to influence and challenge internal and external stakeholders to foster business growth.
  • Capability to present and sell new technological solutions, emphasizing digital information solutions in the electrical market.
  • Strong relationship development and management skills.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
