Job summary

Summit GM in Fort McMurray, Alberta, is seeking a Service Porter to support the dealership’s service department with vehicle flow and customer care. You'll move, stage, and prep vehicles, helping the service team maintain efficiency and a premier customer experience.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather. A valid driver’s license and a willingness to learn are essential for this busy, fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous automotive dealership or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission (training available).
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong time management and adaptability in a busy service environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the service drive and assist with vehicle intake.
• Move customer vehicles to designated parking areas, service bays, or wash stations safely and efficiently.
• Retrieve vehicles for customer pickup and ensure they are clean and ready for delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service drive, parking lots, and dealership grounds.
• Assist technicians and service advisors with vehicle staging and shop flow.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections such as checking fuel levels, tire condition, and exterior condition.
• Support shuttle service operations when required.
• Help manage dealership loaner or rental vehicles, including inspecting for damage and refueling.
• Follow all dealership, OEM, and safety guidelines when handling vehicles and operating equipment.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership.

The ServicePorter supports the daily operations of the OEMdealership’sservice department by ensuring efficient vehicle flow and providingan exceptionalcustomer experience. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a busy service environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
