Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies in Victoria, BC is seeking a Glazing Service Superintendent to join our growing service division. This full-time role offers competitive salary, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits.

You will lead glazing crews, review project progress, read blueprints, coordinate field activities, and mentor field staff while upholding safety standards. The successful candidate has 5+ years in construction with glazing experience and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a Construction environment with glazing focus.
• Knowledge of commercial glazing projects including curtainwall and facades.
• Ability to read blueprints, architectural plans and shop drawings.
• Proven ability to lead crews and mentor team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure revisions/change orders are documented and billed.
• Daily review with Service Manager on project and billing progress.
• Prepare reports such as Service Request/Field Report and work orders.
• Dispatch calls to field technicians with complete job info.
• Maintain customer relationships during project activity.
• Monitor quality, safety and training on project sites.
• Order and manage service inventory and safety equipment.

A Day in the Life:

• Ensure that all revisions/change orders are properly documented and accounted for
• Daily review with Service Manager on project and billing progress
• Completion of various reports, including Service Request/Field Report and work order
• Dispatch calls to field technicians, providing all necessary job information prior to their arrival on site
• Build relationships and maintain close contact with customers during project activity

Field Crew Support

• Compliance to regional Health and Safety requirements and Flynn policies
• Monitor quality, safety, and training requirements through regular visits to project sites
• Order and manage Service Inventory, material best practices, and safety equipment distribution
• Identification, training and coaching future Foremen

What We Are Seeking

• 5+ years experience in a Construction environment; Service Glazing experience is preferred
• Knowledge of COMMERCIAL GLAZING Projects of varying size and scope, including curtainwall, exterior façade systems, metal cladding, interior glazing, skylights and handrails, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, architectural plans and shop drawings
• Ability to lead crews, coach and mentor team

$80,000 - $95,000 a year
