Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Glazing Superintendent for the Service Division to oversee field operations, project progression, and customer communication on commercial glazing assignments in Victoria, BC. This role entails coordinating field teams, reviewing progress with the Service Manager, and ensuring proper documentation and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has extensive glazing and construction experience, ability to read blueprints, and a proven track record leading crews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a Construction environment; Service glazing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of COMMERCIAL GLAZING projects including curtainwall, exterior façade systems, metal cladding, interior glazing, skylights and handrails.

Responsibilities

• Ensure revisions/change orders are documented and tracked.
• Daily review with Service Manager on project and billing progress.
• Complete Service Request/Field Report and work order documents.
• Dispatch calls to field technicians with all necessary job information.
• Build relationships and maintain contact with customers during project activity.
• Monitor health and safety compliance on project sites.
• Order and manage service inventory and equipment distribution.
• Identify, train and coach future Foremen.

A Day in the Life:

• Ensure that all revisions/change orders are properly documented and accounted for

Field Crew Support

• Compliance to regional Health and Safety requirements and Flynn policies
• Monitor quality, safety, and training requirements through regular visits to project sites
• Order and manage Service Inventory, material best practices, and safety equipment distribution
• Identification, training and coaching future Foremen

What We Are Seeking

• 5+ years experience in a Construction environment; Service Glazing experience is preferred
