Job summary

Houle Electric Canada is hiring a Service Electrician for our Electrical Services team in Prince George. You will handle electrical service work for existing customers and help build new business in residential and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Certified Red Seal Journeyperson with 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code; FSR-B is an asset.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise journeyman and apprentices as needed.
• Comfortable working after hours and on-call rotations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• IBEW Local 993 membership or willingness to join.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical service work for existing customers and build new business in residential and commercial sectors.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver reliable, safe electricalsolutions on projects in Prince George area.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervising journeyman/apprentices as required.
• Maintain thorough paperwork and on-site documentation in English.

About this role

Currently, we are seeking an experienced and driven Service Electrician to join our Electrical Services team in Prince George.

The Service Electrician will be involved in all aspects of electrical service work for our existing customers and building new business, primarily in the residential and commercial sectors.

What we're looking for

• A certified Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson for at least 5 years
• Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code. FSR-B is an asset
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety
• Well organized, team player, strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Skilled at electrical trouble shooting and problem solving
• Capable to supervise electrical journeyman and apprentices when required
• Able to work in an exciting fast paced positive environment
• Willing to work after hours and an on call rotational basis
• Ability to speak, read and write English fluently and able to maintain legible/accurate paperwork
• Must have a valid driver's license and hold a clean driving record
• A current IBEW local 993 member or willing to become one

Salary range: Compensation through the IBEW 993 Collective Agreement Service Electrician Rate $57.65 per hour, plus great benefits and Group RRSP $5.70 per hour. A company Service Van, cell phone, and service clothing will be provided.
