Wood Automotive Group is seeking a Service Dispatcher for the Advantage Ford team in Calgary, AB. This role focuses on balancing work distribution, coordinating repair orders, and maximizing technician productivity while delivering exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will maintain an efficient dispatch system, monitor job status, and communicate effectively with service advisors, technicians, and management.

Formación

• Min 1+ year of service writing experience or sales experience preferred but not required.
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record, per company standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Process and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Responsabilidades

Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual that will arrange work assignments and repair order flow to boost efficiency and maximize benefit of technician’s skill level, pay scale and workload to make smart decisions when deciding which jobs will go to which technicians.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain balance in the work distribution process and ensures ongoing communication between service advisors, parts counter personnel, technicians and management to maximize the use of our available resources in the shop.
  
• Implements and maintains an effective dispatch system
• Prioritizes and controls all comebacks to ensure proper and prompt attention
• Ensures proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause, and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation
• Reviews job status frequently, logging status and reporting any change in time or cost estimates to the appropriate Service Advisor and/or customer
• Prioritize production above passing out repair orders.
• Review completed repair orders to ensure they fully describe reason for visit, diagnosis, and time/materials used for repair work.
• Monitor status of service orders, and notify service advisor/customer of any necessary adjustments to time/cost estimates.
• Keep repair log up-to-date to DMS
• Relay job status information to service manager
• Use courteous professional demeanor to serve customers and team members
• Commit to a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Min 1+ year of service writing experience or sales experience preferred but not required
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record, per company standards
• An enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic person who has a personal determination to overcome possible objections while providing an outstanding customer experience
• Professional personal appearance

• Confident in ability to work under pressure and prioritize
