Job summary

SSP Canada at Vancouver International Airport is seeking Food Service Attendants to prepare, serve, and stock food and beverages for guests across outlets such as Whistler Taphouse & Grill, Lift Bar and Grill, Urban Crave, Sal y Limon, and Romers.

You will greet guests, take orders, handle payments, maintain cleanliness, and support opening/closing procedures while complying with health standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in food service.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to operate POS to pre-check orders and close checks.
• Ability to stand for long periods in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment and process change.
• Set-up, maintenance, cleaning, and break-down of machinery and equipment.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.
• Return all items used during your shift to proper place, clean and organize work areas.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to health standards.

• $21.25 / hour (External) - $25.00 / hour (Internal)

Here are a few things you can expect as a Food Service Attendant at SSP Canada:

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
• Receive payment from the customer and process change
• Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and break-down of any machinery and equipment
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required
• Return all items used during your shift to the proper place, clean and organize all work and storage areas (including all coolers and refrigerators), empty and re-line all trash containers
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
• Other duties as assigned
  

Skills & Other Requirements

• Minimum one year experience working in food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time
