Job summary

The 401 Group in North Bay is seeking a Customer-Focused Service Advisor to be the friendly face of our service department, guiding customers through a smooth, professional experience from check-in to pick-up.

As the first point of contact, you’ll develop accurate estimates, clearly communicate with customers, and coordinate appointments. Growth, training, and perks accompany a team that values service excellence and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Minimum 1-2 years in a customer service role.
• Auto experience is a plus.
• Valid G Drivers License.
• Flexible hours including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by listening to symptoms, clarifying problems, and describing services.
• Explain warranty and service contract coverage and exclusions.
• Develop estimates by calculating parts, labor, and payments.
• Prepare repair orders with symptoms, causes, repairs and approvals.
• Maintain rapport with customers and obtain approvals and contact details.
• Record problems and corrective actions in the service database.
• Stay updated on knowledge from manufacturers’ publications.

We’re looking for a customer-focused, organized, and energetic Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team! As the first point of contact for service customers, you’ll play a key role in delivering a smooth, professional, and friendly experience from check-in to pick-up.

Location: 600 McKeown Ave, North Bay ON

Compensation: $55,000-$75,000 per year

What You Will Be Doing:

• Ascertain auto services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying the description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labour; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation
• Maintain accurate records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Minimum 1 - 2 years in a customer service role
• Auto experience considered an asset
• Valid G Drivers License
• Able to work flexible hours within our business hours including Saturdays
