Job summary

The 401 Group is seeking a Customer-Focused Service Advisor to join our Sudbury service department. You will be the first point of contact, guiding customers from check-in to vehicle return with a friendly, professional experience.

As part of a growing Canadian automotive group, you’ll handle service estimates, RO preparation, and scheduling while building strong customer rapport and contributing to a high-energy team environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service role.
• Auto experience considered an asset.
• Valid G Driver's License.
• Flexible hours including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Listen to customer symptoms and describe service needs, clarifying problems and requirements.
• Review warranty coverage and explain provisions or exclusions to customers.
• Develop repair estimates by costing parts and labor and securing approvals.
• Prepare repair orders with symptoms, problems, causes, and required services; enter in service database.
• Maintain customer rapport by communicating estimates and updates, and providing contact details.
• Record problems and corrective actions taken to the vehicle service history.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date by reading manufacturers' publications and pursuing educational opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for a customer-focused, organized, and energetic Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team! As the first point of contact for service customers, you’ll play a key role in delivering a smooth, professional, and friendly experience from check-in to pick-up.

Location: Sudbury ON

Compensation: $50,000-$75,000 per year

What You Will Be Doing:

• Ascertain auto services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying the description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labour; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation
• Maintain accurate records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Minimum 1 - 2 years in a customer service role
• Auto experience considered an asset
• Valid G Drivers License
• Able to work flexible hours within our business hours including Saturdays
