The 401 Group is seeking a Customer-Focused Service Advisor in Kanata (Ottawa area) to be the friendly face of the service department. You will guide customers from check-in to pick-up, ensuring a smooth, professional, and welcoming experience with a focus on 5-star service throughout every visit.

As the first contact for service customers, you’ll handle estimates, warranty checks, and scheduling while maintaining strong customer rapport and accurate records.

Formación

• 1–2 years in a customer service role.
• Auto experience considered an asset.
• Valid G Driver's License.
• Able to work flexible hours including Saturdays.

Responsabilidades

• Ascertain services by listening to symptoms, inspecting, test drives, and reviewing maintenance records.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage; explain provisions and exclusions.
• Develop estimates by costing materials and labour; calculate customer payment including deductibles.
• Prepare repair orders describing symptoms, problems, and required repairs; obtain approvals; enter RO into system.
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates, obtaining approvals and contact information, and addressing questions.
• Maintain accurate records of problems and planned corrective actions.
• Update job knowledge through training and reading manufacturers' publications.
• Other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for a customer-focused, organized, and energetic Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team! As the first point of contact for service customers, you’ll play a key role in delivering a smooth, professional, and friendly experience from check-in to pick-up.

Location: 20 Frank Nighbor Place, Kanata ON

Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 per year - Compensation dependent on experience.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Ascertain auto services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying the description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labour; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation
• Maintain accurate records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Minimum 1 - 2 years in a customer service role
• Auto experience considered an asset
• Valid G Drivers License
• Able to work flexible hours within our business hours including Saturdays
