Job summary

Cam Clark Auto Group in Olds, AB is seeking a Service Advisor to act as the critical link between customers and our shop, guiding them from intake to release of their vehicles.

You will greet customers, answer calls, translate problems into work orders for technicians, and ensure quality service with strong communication and meticulous record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license and clean driver abstract.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor is preferred but we are willing to train the right individual.
• DMS experience, PBS is considered an asset.
• Attention to detail, prioritization skills and time management.
• Punctual, reliable and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and offer excellent customer service from intake to release of their vehicles.
• Answering phone calls and assisting walk-up customers.
• Determine and diagnose car issues based on customer description and vehicle condition.
• Translate customer-reported problems to actionable work orders for technicians to complete.
• Order necessary parts from suppliers and ensure delivery to technicians.
• Ensure that automotive work meets company quality standards.
• Invoice and collect payment from customers for services rendered.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding services.
• Maintain customer records and enter data into computer databases.

In the position of Service Advisor, reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for being the critical link between our customers and shop, listening to customer concerns, assessing their needs as well as keeping them informed on the progress of their repair.

You will be accountable for:

• Greet customers and offer excellent customer service from intake to release of their vehicles.
• Answering phone calls and assisting walk-up customers.
• Determine and diagnose car issues based on customer description and vehicle condition.
• Translate customer-reported problems to actionable work orders for technicians to complete.
• Order necessary parts from suppliers and double-check that they are delivered to technicians.
• Ensure that automotive work provided to customers meets company quality standards.
• Invoice and collect payment from customers for services rendered.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding services.
• Maintain customer records and enter data into computer databases.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
