Job summary

A prominent vehicle dealership in Eastern Ontario seeks a Service Advisor to support service operations. As a key point of contact, you will schedule appointments, provide accurate cost estimates, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should have a High School Diploma, strong administrative and customer service skills, and previous industry experience preferred. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive, or related industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Proficiency with software and computers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OHSA regulations and Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Schedule service appointments and provide customers with accurate written cost estimates.
  • Establish customer methods of payment and obtain credit approvals.
  • Check on progress of repairs and contact customers regarding changes.
  • Explain completed work and all charges to customers.
  • Cross-trained as a parts counter person.
  • Ensure OHSA and company health and safety policy compliance.
  • Support with related duties as assigned by management.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service repair work and following the progress of repairs throughout the shift.

Responsibilites
  • Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Scheduling service appointments.
  • Provides customers with complete and accurate written cost estimates, establish time require to complete work.
  • Prepares orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and service required.
  • Obtain customer signature on repair orders.
  • Establish customer method of payment.
  • Obtain credit approvals.
  • Check on progress of repairs and contact customers regarding changes in estimate or promised time.
  • Review and close repair orders.
  • Explain completed work and all charges to customers
  • Cross trained as a parts counter person.
  • Complies with all relevant Health & Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.
  • Other related duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. College or post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive or related industry experience preferred.
  • Competency in the following areas required; customer service, administrative skills, team building, proficiency with software and computers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Valid driver’s license and Drivers Abstract.
