Job summary

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is hiring in Timmins, Ontario for a Parts Counterperson to sell commercial vehicle parts over the counter or by phone. You will ensure OHSA compliance and handle daily order setup and record-keeping.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least six months in over-the-counter sales, with SAP as an asset. A Criminal Record Check and a Driver's Abstract are also expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Six months' experience in over-the-counter sales, preferably in a dealership or service setting.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.
• Criminal Record Check required.
• Driver's Abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Sell commercial vehicle parts to customers over the counter or by phone.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA regulations and the company's Health and Safety Policy.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Keep orderly records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
• Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring invoice or number is available for verification.
• Participate in all training programs and stay current on new products and updates.

The Parts Counterperson sells commercial vehicle and equipment parts to customers over the counter or by phone.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
• Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Participate in all training programs that are made available.
• Keep current on new products and product updates.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Six months' experience in over-the-counter sales, preferably in a dealership or service setting environment
• Experience with SAP is an asset
