Job summary

ISM is seeking a Technical Specialist to support servers, workstations, and infrastructure across the BC public sector. The role includes design, deployment, and incident management with a hands-on approach and service-excellence mindset.

The position can be done virtually with residency in British Columbia; strong knowledge of Windows, Azure, and enterprise systems is essential, along with project coordination and vendor liaison capabilities.

Qualifications

• Related degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with LAN/WAN Windows environments.
• Experience with Service Now.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office, Azure and TCP/IP problems.
• Experience with Active Directory/Group Policy.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate hardware, OS configurations for IT projects.
• Design and develop technical, business, and procedural solutions.
• Lead rollout planning and deployments with QA and stakeholders.
• Provide Tier-3 technical support and liaise with vendors as required.
• Monitor system infrastructure and incidents; manage change processes.
