Job summary

Seasons-Retirement-Communities in Wetaskiwin, AB, is seeking a part-time Dining Server to deliver meals and support catering events while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests. You will take orders, set and clear tables, serve food and beverages, and maintain a clean, safe dining area in line with policies and regulations.

Lifting up to 50 pounds and operating dining equipment may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a kitchen is an asset.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate related equipment.
  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors.
  • Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints.
  • Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Current Safe Food Handler’s Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Unpack and store supplies; maintain work and storage areas in a clean, safe sanitary manner.
  • Wash, clean and sort dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and service.
  • Operate and clean food equipment, furniture and maintain dining area.
  • All other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Dining Server. This role is responsible for serving meals and servicing catering events while ensuring an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare food for serving to the residents and ensuring resident satisfaction with meal service
