Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences' Dufferin Centre Retirement Residence is seeking a Dining Server on a part-time, 12-month contract. You will serve meals and support catering events, delivering an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests.

Key duties include preparing food for service, taking orders, setting and clearing tables, and maintaining a clean, safe dining area. Experience in a kitchen is an asset, and candidates must meet Safe Food Handler requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a kitchen is considered an asset.
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively, and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to and including 50 pounds is considered an asset.
• Must be able to operate related equipment.
• Demonstrate empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors.
• Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints.
• Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Current Safe Food Handler’s Certification

• Unpack and store supplies; maintain work and storage areas in a clean, safe sanitary manner

• Operate and clean food equipment, furniture and maintain dining area
• All other duties as assigned

The Opportunity
