Job summary

Revera Inc. is seeking a Server – Dining Room to provide courteous meal service to residents and guests in a warm, respectful environment. You will set tables, deliver tray service, and assist with dining area cleanliness while supporting cafe-style catering and events.

The role requires prior food service experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lift heavy items. VPS clearance is required or obtainable after hire; bilingual abilities are an asset within a senior living

Qualifications

• Preference given to individuals with previous experience in the food service industry and working with seniors.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand or walk for the majority of the shift.
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
• Current (within 6 months) VPS or be willing to obtain one upon hire.

Wage per hour: $18.05.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.

• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery at the conclusion of each dining service.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering, and actively participate in special occasions and theme events.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new culinary employees.
• Follow and comply with health and safety legislation and departmental safe job procedures.
• Comply with all provincial regulations and established department policies and procedures.
• Be aware of the Resident Rights & Responsibilities and endeavor to respect and promote them.
• Attend in-service training as required to better serve the needs of the residents.
• Attend staff meetings as required to be aware of changes in the residence.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy regarding ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in the Company’s Code of Conduct.
• Complete all other tasks as assigned.
