Job summary

Seasons-Retirement-Communities in Drayton Valley, AB, is seeking a Dining Server for the Drayton Valley Retirement Residence. This part-time, hourly role serves meals and supports catering events to ensure an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests.

• Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Current Safe Food Handler’s Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for serving to residents and ensure satisfaction.
• Take orders, set and strip tables, and serve food and beverages.
• Unpack and store supplies; keep work and storage areas clean and sanitary.
• Wash, clean, and sort dishes and equipment used for service.
• Operate and clean dining equipment and maintain the dining area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Dining Server. This role is responsible for serving meals and servicing catering events while ensuring an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare food for serving to the residents and ensuring resident satisfaction with meal service
• Take orders, setting and stripping tables and serving food/beverages in accordance with established policies and procedures and all applicable regulations
• Unpack and store supplies; maintain work and storage areas in a clean, safe sanitary manner
• Wash, clean and sort dishes, cutlery, fixtures and equipment used for food preparation and service
• Operate and clean food equipment, furniture and maintain dining area
• All other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Experience working in a kitchen is considered an asset
• Must be able to read and communicate effectively, and follow written/verbal instructions
• Ability to lift up to and including 50 pounds is considered an asset
• Must be able to operate related equipment
