Duties Include But Not Limited To
- Taking and Fulfilling Orders: Servers take orders from customers, often using a point-of-sale system, and transmit them to the kitchen or bar. They then deliver the prepared food and drinks to the customers' tables.
- Customer Service: Servers are the primary point of contact for customers during their dining experience. They greet guests, provide menu recommendations, answer questions, and ensure a positive dining experience.
- Handling Payments: Servers are responsible for presenting the bill to customers, processing payments (cash, credit cards, etc.), and ensuring accurate transactions.
- Maintaining a Clean Dining Area: Servers keep their assigned section clean, including clearing tables, refilling water glasses, and ensuring a tidy environment for guests.
- Shift Preparation And Support: Servers may also be involved in shift preparation tasks like setting tables, restocking supplies, or assisting other staff members.
- Knowledge Of The Menu: Servers should have a good understanding of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special requests.
- Communication And Teamwork: Servers need to communicate effectively with both customers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and prevent misunderstandings.
Skills & Requirements
- 3+ years of restaurant experience required
- Strong food and beverage knowledge required
- Exceptional service and floor skills
- High volume restaurant experience
- Detail-oriented, organized, professional, and always seeking improvements
- Must be available Sunday through Thursday
