Job summary

Cresta is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to build and maintain a robust desktop platform. You will own core parts of the Cresta product, implement screen capturing and analytics for QA and compliance, and work with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

The role emphasizes deep native Windows development, performance optimization, and architecture decisions balancing native vs Electron/browser pathways. Eligible for US and Canada remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong CS fundamentals and experience building native desktop apps on Windows.
• Experience with screen capture/recording systems and multi-monitor capture.
• Low-level systems programming including concurrency, memory management and IPC.
• Ability to design and own complex client-side systems with architectural tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Play a substantial role in the platform engineering team.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to improve the Cresta platform and new product requirements.
• Engage with customers to analyze requirements and own the customer facing deliverables.
• Identify product improvement opportunities and propose ideas.
• Demonstrate engineering best practices and uphold high standards.
• Provide technical ownership for a meaningful part of the product and platform.
• Enhance compliance and QA through screen capturing rules and automation.
• Support PII/PCI redaction based on desktop and browser activity.
