Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Toronto seeks a Senior Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer (Design Lead) to lead water infrastructure projects, including large and small diameter mains, sewers, and rehabilitation efforts.

You will oversee hydraulics design, prepare memos and specifications, mentor staff, and engage with clients and regulators. The role is hybrid across Canada with a salary range. Licensing and leadership are key requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Licensed or eligible as Professional Engineer in Ontario.
• 8+ years in engineering consulting; 10+ for senior roles.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and projects.
• Experience in design of large/small diameter water infrastructure.
• Experience in trenchless design (HDD, TBM, MTBM).

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering calculations and drawing preparation (hydraulics, pipe design, fittings).
• Prepare and review Technical Memos, Reports, and Specifications.
• Chamber/station layout and design.
• Coordinate design with stakeholders for permits/approvals.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and support project management (scope, schedule, budget).
• Mentor junior staff and support team development.
• Support QA/QC of deliverables.
• Participate in proposals and client presentations.
