Job summary

Stantec in Windsor, Ontario seeks a senior process mechanical engineer and project manager to support planning and engineering design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will work from the Windsor office on projects in Windsor-Essex County and throughout Southwestern Ontario, leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing multiple tasks and deadlines with a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have senior process mechanical engineering and project management experience in water/wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to Health and Safety culture within Stantec.
• Support process mechanical engineering projects across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Manage projects of varying complexity and assist revenue forecasting.
• Oversee proposals with scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
• Develop project management plans for complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Perform design work, calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and write specifications and reports.
• Coordinate design and report deliverables for client submissions and approvals.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with sub-consultants.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client/regulatory requirements.
• Prepare engineering documents and client communications for project deliverables.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to match design intent.
• Prepare construction specs, plans and schedules.
• Contribute to cost estimating and participate in regional industry associations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and peers.
• Conduct occasional site visits.
