Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Guelph, Ontario, is hiring a licensed Mouldmaker/Tool & Die Maker to repair and maintain Injection, SMC and RIM tools and support tooling maintenance. The role requires 5 years of large-tool experience and knowledge of SVG systems, core pulls, hot manifolds, polishing and rebuilds.

You must have your own tools, be a safety-conscious team player with strong communication skills, and be prepared to work overtime as needed. Competitive hourly wage: CAD 40.90–48.20.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mouldmaker/Tool & Die Maker is required.
• 5 years experience working on large tools (Injection and/or RIM moulding).
• Knowledge of SVG systems, core pulls, hot manifolds, polishing and rebuilding tools.
• Spotting press experience preferred.
• CNC lathe and CNC mill experience required.
• Must own tools and be safety conscious with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Injection, SMC and RIM tools (surface damage, parting lines, engineering changes, cylinders, seal off, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep moulds in operation.
• Determine when a tool cannot be repaired in-house and arrange replacement.
• Complete engineering changes when required.
• Minimize downtime and support production with tooling issues.
• Liaise with production for tool availability and with maintenance for support.
• Able to work overtime when required.
