Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking a skilled Mould Maker in Ontario to design, assemble and test moulds to tight tolerances for automotive components. You will work with Engineering and Production, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery, with occasional travel to support customers.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in mould making, NX software knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Mould Maker position.
• Experience in the automotive industry is an asset.
• Minimum Grade 12 diploma; college diploma in a Trade/Technical Field is an asset.
• Tool & Die or Mould Maker Certificate 431/430 is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test moulds to Tycos and customer specifications
• Fitting and spotting of components and core to cavity with high precision
• Wire and assemble hot runner systems
• TIG welding of major components is an asset
• Plan and organize efficient work flow for assigned tasks
• Document discussions with customers during try-outs and offsite services
• Travel within Ontario and internationally for customer support
• Interact with Engineering, Scheduling, Machining and Management
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity
• Assist in implementing plans to control safety, quality, 5S, cost and efficiency
• Cross-train in other departments to enhance skillsets and scheduling flexibility
