Northbridge Financial Corporation in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Technical Assistant to support underwriting files, mentor Technical Assistants, and ensure accuracy and efficiency on large complex accounts within the Technical Risk team.

The role emphasizes data entry, reporting, and collaboration with underwriters and brokers. A 4-month contract with a hybrid work model offers up to 2 days remote per week and a focus on process improvements and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
• Experience in property and casualty insurance is preferred.
• Experience with fleet/auto underwriting is an asset.

What it's like to be a Northbridge Senior Technical Assistant:

As a Senior Technical Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting our underwriting team by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service. You'll also mentor and guide Technical Assistants, helping us maintain high standards and deliver on our service commitments. As a member of the Technical Risk team, you will be working on our large complex accounts.

• Provide technical and administrative support for underwriting files.
• Perform data entry, calculations, and generate reports using business systems.
• Process policy changes, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and on time.
• Communicate with underwriters and brokers to verify and gather information.
• Review applications and endorsements for completeness and accuracy.
• Mentor and train Technical Assistants, ensuring quality and adherence to procedures.
• Collaborate on special projects and contribute to process improvements.

This is a 4-month contract position.

The base salary range for this role is $43,000 - $65,000, which reflects the expected base pay - not the total compensation package.
