Job summary

Northbridge Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Underwriter to deliver complete underwriting solutions for commercial mid-market risks. You will collaborate with broker partners to form a holistic risk picture and make sound decisions while mentoring peers in a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in underwriting across property, casualty, or auto and a strong customer-service background.

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in property, casualty, automobile.
• Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation.
• Strong customer service background.
• Team-first mentality.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting decisions based on a holistic view of risk with broker partners.
• Coach and mentor less experienced underwriters to support growth.
• Collaborate in a hybrid team to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply technical underwriting skills to ensure accurate risk assessment in a fast paced environment.

Our Senior Underwriters provide complete solutions for our commercial mid-market businesses. They work closely with a wide range of broker partners to get a holistic picture of each risk and make underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties. They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders and love utilizing their strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly. While they are already experts in their own field, Northbridge is committed to their ongoing growth and development. Working in a collaborative team they provide coaching, mentoring and development for less experienced underwriters.
