Job summary

ManagePoint Technologies Inc in Ontario seeks an experienced IT professional to be an escalation point, deploying IT projects and reporting to the owner. You will help with budgeting and planning for ManagePoint and client initiatives.

You will lead IT solution architecture, quote projects, and assist in staging, configuration, deployment, and on-site client support. This role supports growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the IT industry with hands-on experience.

• Install, support and maintain PCs and peripherals.
• Architect and install server solutions for various client needs.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Proficient with security including encryption and MFA.
• Strong customer service and empathy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Familiar with DNS, DHCP, File/Print Server, Radius/NPS.
• Knowledge of VMware, Proxmox and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Understanding of wired and wireless networks.
• Proficient with Office tools and collaboration suites.
• G license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to participate in weekly on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for IT issues and triage client questions.

Job description

In this position you will be an escalation point on the ManagePoint team and responsible for deploying IT projects while reporting directly to the owner. This position will give you the ability to improve and strengthen on your skills and experience while also having direct input into projects, budgeting, and planning for ManagePoint and/ or our clients.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for handling calls to the Service Desk on occasion and acting as an escalation point, triaging client issues or questions, and resolving or escalating them to vendors as required. You will also assist in leading IT Solution Architecture and Design as well as Quoting these solutions as IT Projects. You will also assist in the staging, configuration, deployment, and support of these Projects. The successful candidate will also get to explore the field through on-site visits or service calls to client sites and assist in project implementation and rollouts such as new IT infrastructure builds, process improvement or implementation, security and surveillance projects, and on occasion assist with IT budgeting for ManagePoint and/ or our clients on a regular and recurring basis. Qualifications

• 10+ years experience working in the IT Industry or IT Service Provider
• Ability to prioritize and resolve IT problems quickly and efficiently
• Install/ Support/ Maintain PCs and peripheral devices
• Architect and Install Server Solutions for various sizes of client requirements
• Windows, Linux, and Mac OS Knowledge
• Proficient with Security such as Encryption and MFA
• Strong Customer Service and Empathy skills
• Demonstrated Communication Skills both Oral and Written
• Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
• Familiar with additional Server roles such as DNS, DHCP, File & Print Server, Radius/ NPS
• Strong understanding of VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V Virtualization
• Strong Understanding of Networks (Wired and Wireless)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
• G License and access to reliable transportation
• Participate in Weekly On Call Rotation
