Job summary

Bilinguallink is seeking a motivated IT System Administrator to join our team in Laval. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure, supporting end users, and maintaining system availability.

The role requires a solid understanding of Windows and Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and experience with Active Directory, 365 administration, and virtualization. You will handle backups, patch management, and cloud services, while collaborating with vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Knowledge of backup solutions and endpointsecurity tools.
• Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access using Active Directory.
• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and system-related issues.
• Perform regular system updates, patch management, and antivirus maintenance.
• Monitor backups and assist with disaster recovery procedures.
• Configure and maintain basic network infrastructure, including switches, routers, VPNs, and Wi‑Fi.
• Assist in managing cloud services such as Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and system documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, warranty claims, and technicalsupport.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
• Support IT projects, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
