Job summary

National Bank of Canada seeks a Senior Tax Analyst for the Canadian registered Tax Slip Management team. You will contribute to regulatory IT projects, analyse complex data, and coordinate with IT partners to ensure timely, accurate tax slip production.

You will work with various stakeholders, promote process improvements, and lead initiatives across subsidiaries. The role emphasizes collaboration, quality, and continuous learning within a dynamic team of about 15 professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Strong problem solving and process improvement mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of investment products.
  • Excellent time and priority management.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in OSS T80, JAVA-DI, PCIs, AS400, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Help carry out IT projects related to regulatory changes and new business needs: perform acceptance tests, verify and analyse data.
  • Diagnose complex problem situations and propose strategies with permanent corrective measures.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and optimise processes.
  • Collect, process and analyse data to produce reports with performance indicators (volume and forecast).
  • Work with various IT sectors for different applications during the year-end process.
  • Analyze actions to ensure tax slip activities are carried out and assess impact on platforms development.
  • Coordinate actions with IT partners and external service providers to ensure high-quality, compliant and on-time slip production.
  • Monitor resolution of incidents affecting tax slip platforms.

  • Help carry out ITprojects related to regulatory changes and new business needs: Perform acceptance tests, verify and analyse data

  • Intervene and monitor the resolution of incidents affecting tax slip platforms

You are part of a team of 15 colleagues in the Canadian registered Tax Slip Management sector and report to the Senior Manager. You play a key role in developing the sector's practises and quality.
