Job summary

BBA Consultants in Canada seeks a recognized practice leader and SME in mine tailings facility management to guide growth and ensure technical excellence.

With 25+ years of experience, you will act as Engineer of Record where required, establish guidelines, manage risk, and advise clients through the facility life cycle across Canada and internationally.

This senior role blends technical leadership, client engagement and mentoring of experts within a collaborative, ethics-driven culture.

Qualifications

• At least 25 years of relevant experience in mine waste management and geotechnics.
• P.Eng. designation in Canada.
• Experience as Engineer of Record or qualified person for tailings facilities.
• Ability to lead technical reviews and develop the practice.
• Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities.
• Advanced English and French proficiency for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Guide growth of the tailings facilities practice and maintain technical excellence.
• Serve as SME and reviewer/EOR for tailings facilities and related infrastructure.
• Establish technical guidelines, risk and quality management.
• Advise clients through the facility life cycle from planning to closure.
• Lead or review design studies, safety analyses and water management plans.
• Develop business, proposals and knowledge transfer among teams.
