Job summary
SLR Consulting in Canada seeks a Senior Process Engineer to join our North American mine waste team. You will lead engineering studies on tailings dewatering and paste backfill concepts, driving sustainability and efficiency in underground mining and surface disposal.

Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in the mining industry.
- 5 years of operational experience at a mineral processing facility.
- Understanding of mineralogy impacts on processes and material properties.
- Experience with dewatering technologies and testwork interpretation for scaling equipment.
- Eligible for Professional Engineer registration in Canada or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for engineering studies within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Develop backfill concepts and dewatering strategies for mine projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide drafting teams on designs.
- Conduct economic valuation of plant solutions and support proposals.
- Manage work to meet scope, time, and budget; travel as needed.
- Prepare technical documentation, design criteria, and process diagrams.
- Support business development and site inspections; attend conferences as needed.
