Lead Systems Specialist – Security & Communications

Responsibilities
- Leading installations and system integrations across multiple commercial security and communication technologies.
- Managing project timelines, team coordination, and customer expectations.
- Installing and configuring: Electronic Access Control systems, CCTV solutions, Intrusion Alarm systems, Nurse call solutions, Paging & Intercom systems, Integrated Lockdown systems
- Troubleshooting and providing on-site support to resolve system issues.
- Collaborating with customers to explain system specifications and functionality.
- Completing detailed documentation, testing, and commissioning reports.
- Providing mentorship and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in commercial security technology, communications, or life safety systems.
- Strong leadership experience — managing projects, mentoring team members, and coordinating tasks.
- Technical expertise in commercial PA systems, healthcare communication systems, and security technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and configure IP-based solutions.
- Experience interpreting and working with architectural, elevation, and schematic drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Atlantic Canada as needed.
- Ability to pass a criminal record check.
Preferred Experience with Manufacturers
- If you have hands-on experience with systems from TOA, Carehawk, Kantech, Keyscan, Honeywell, ASCOM, Salto, iPro, ExacqVision, or HID, that’s a strong asset!
