Job summary

SYSTRA Canada Inc. is seeking a senior Systems Assurance Leader to provide strategic oversight for reliability, safety, and risk management across the Lakeshores portfolio as part of the GO Expansion Program.

This on-site role requires deep RAMS expertise, regulatory knowledge, and leadership across engineering teams in Ontario. The successful candidate will drive governance, safety certification, IV&V, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring seamless integration of rail and transit

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with PEO.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering infrastructure experience, incl. 5+ years in senior leadership of systems assurance for rail/transit programs.
• Strong knowledge of Systems Assurance, RAMS, safety certification, IV&V, Testing & Commissioning and lifecycle processes.
• Knowledge of EN 50126/50128/50129 or IEEE/ISO 15288 frameworks.
• Familiarity with Ontario legislation and Metrolinx safety governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for Systems Assurance across the Lakeshores portfolio.
• Establish and adapt Systems Assurance and Safety Certification processes; govern end-to-end V-model lifecycle.
• Lead risk and hazard management activities and oversee submittals by delivery partners.
• Ensure rolling stock, signalling and related systems are safely designed and integrated per RAMS requirements.
• Provide assurance alignment with GO Expansion Program delivery.
