• Analyze the integrity of system architecture, hardware, servers, operating systems, and application software relating to enterprise server storage infrastructure.
• Develop, analyze, design, and implement the organization's storage infrastructure/architecture to ensure high levels of data quality and availability
• Develop capacity planning, backup and restore procedures for storage capabilities
• Develop or assist in development of data disaster recovery plans, as they relate to storage capabilities and continuity
• Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent and seamless storage continuity and capabilities
• Assist in implementing solutions in coordination with relevant stakeholders in production core and hosting environments.
• Assist in resolving incident and/or problems for the Enterprise Storage Services that have been escalated.
• Produce and deliver the design, test plan, and implementation of the upgrades.

The successful candidate must possess the following skills and experience:

• Must be able to work on-site in Ottawa region.
• PSPC Level 2 Secret Security Clearance.
• University or college degree/diploma in an technology related discipline.
• Extensive experience working in classified networks on classified or command and control IT systems.
• Extensive experience utilizing SAN concepts and technologies on a server, using server-side administration tools.
• Extensive experience providing 2nd or 3rd line support for enterprise storage systems with thousands of users.
• Extensive experience designing, reviewing, and developing technical documentation.
• Experience with Hitachi storage technology would be considered an asset.
