Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator / Operations Support Specialist to oversee mainframe batch processing operations within a complex, large-scale enterprise environment.

Job Title:Senior Systems Administrator / Operations Support Specialist

Job Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid

Job Description:

Must Haves:

· 10+ years of experience supporting mainframe batch processing

· Proven success in large, complex enterprise IT environments

· Expertise in CA-7 scheduling, batch/online processing, and SFTP/FTP operations

· Advanced knowledge of IMS, DB2, View/Deliver, and automated scheduling tools

Key Responsibilities:
You will lead a team of analysts responsible for managing and maintaining batch and online production schedules critical to public-facing applications. The role involves incident management, root cause analysis, performance metric development, and staff training. You’ll coordinate release/change implementations, support third-party file transfer operations, and ensure seamless integration of new systems into production. On-call support may be required to maintain operational continuity.

This is a high-impact role requiring strong leadership, technical proficiency, and the ability to ensure operational excellence across mission-critical systems.
