Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Canada seeks a Senior Supplier Manufacturing Professional – APX Large Structures to oversee fabrication of large structural components for nuclear projects. You will ensure manufacturing activities, documentation, inspections, and corrective actions meet requirements.

This hybrid role reports to the Large Structures SPx Manager and may be based in Kitchener or Burlington, Ontario, with onsite work two days per week and potential extended time at supplier

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in heavy fabrication with welding and machining of large components.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of precision machining, welding, forming, mechanical assembly, nondestructive examination, inspection and testing.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and ASME standards.
• Experience leading complex supplier engagements and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite and remote supplier oversight to ensure compliance with technical, quality, inspection, testing and delivery requirements.
• Develop and implement supplier oversight plans covering documents, manufacturing activities, surveillance points, inspections and tests.
• Evaluate supplier manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, quality systems, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate corrective actions and supplier improvement plans to resolve quality, manufacturing, delivery and supply risks.
• Review supplier processes and technical documentation including manufacturing and quality plans, PFMEAs and measurement system analyses.
