Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, is seeking a Tooling and Assembly Operations Lead to oversee shop activities, fabrication, assembly and testing of specialized tooling for the nuclear industry, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.

You will report to the Engineering Manager, Inspection Tooling Engineering, and collaborate with engineering, project management and suppliers to support milestones and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing, fabrication, tooling, assembly or related environments.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• CAD experience is a plus (SolidWorks or Inventor).
• Experience with regulated industries such as nuclear or heavy industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shop activities supporting manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and testing.
• Plan, prioritise and oversee work assignments to meet project deliverables.
• Develop and implement process improvements and work instructions.
• Assemble, install, troubleshoot, inspect and test tooling and equipment used in nuclear applications.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, suppliers and partners to resolve issues.
