Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Canada is seeking a Senior Engineer – Mechanical Systems and Equipment to lead design, analysis and implementation of complex mechanical systems for legacy and advanced reactor technologies. You will mentor engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to balance cost, schedule and quality.

The role reports to the Manager, Mechanical Systems & Equipment and is hybrid in Kitchener, with in-office presence required two days per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Mechatronics.
• P.Eng. certification is required or eligible.
• Experience leading design, modelling and analysis of mechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of complex mechanical systems and equipment.
• Provide technical leadership, delegate tasks and mentor engineers.
• Coordinate engineering teams across legacy and advanced reactor programs.
• Identify risks and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Support interfaces with instrumentation, control, testing and licencing.
