Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Senior Supplier Manufacturing Professional to oversee and improve supplier performance for structural and mechanical components. You will work with suppliers to meet Westinghouse requirements, identify risks, and drive corrective actions from our Kitchener, Ontario office, with the role offered as remote.

You will report to the Engineered Solutions Supply Execution Supervisor and travel ~25% within Canada and to the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supplier quality, oversight, development, and performance roles.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
• Experience with GD&T, ASME, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC/Cpk, APQP/PPAP, and manufacturing quality planning.
• Experience interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Travel ~25% within Canada and some US travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and remote supplier oversight to ensure compliance.
• Develop Supplier Oversight Plans for submittals, inspections, testing, and surveillance.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead supplier development and capability assessments.

About The Role

As a Senior Supplier Manufacturing Professional you will oversee and improve supplier manufacturing performance for structural and mechanical components. You will work directly with suppliers to ensure compliance with Westinghouse technical, quality, and delivery requirements, while identifying risks and driving corrective actions. You will combine supplier oversight, supplier development, and cross-functional coordination to support safe, reliable, and on‑time fabrication.

You will report to the Engineered Solutions Supply Execution Supervisor and be based out of our Kitchener, Ontario office. This position will be offered as a remote role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on‑site and remote supplier oversight to ensure supplier compliance with Westinghouse technical, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Develop Supplier Oversight Plans to support document submittals, manufacturing activities, inspections, testing, and surveillance (witness and hold points)
• Monitor supplier performance metrics (on‑time delivery, quality issues, deviation notices) and lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans
• Lead supplier development, qualification, and capability assessments, including evaluation of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and capacity
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Supplier Quality to resolve supplier issues, mitigate risk, and ensure security of supply

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Manufacturing Oversight, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Quality Engineering, and Supplier Performance roles.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes such as precision machining, welding, forming, mechanical assembly, inspection, testing, and NDE
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T and ASME standards. Demonstrated experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC/Cpk, APQP/PPAP, and manufacturing quality planning.
• Travel expectations (~25%) mainly within Canada and some travel in the United States.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $78,400 to $98,000 per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
