Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead and contribute to design for nuclear facilities, including new builds and upgrades. You will guide a team of engineers, perform analyses, develop specifications, and support drawing production across diverse projects.

Based in Canada on a hybrid work schedule (in-office 3 days/week, remote 2 days). Strong collaboration across disciplines and opportunities to travel for design reviews and site verification are expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from a ABET- or CABA-accredited program or equivalent
• Seven+ years as a project team member in design and analysis of structures
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and design codes (ASCE 7, AISC, ACI)

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts for nuclear facility projects and upgrades
• Prepare and review design calculations and develop specifications
• Support drawing development and mentor junior team members
• Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines and participate in reviews at client sites
• Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites as needed
