Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer for nuclear power plant systems design in Canada. You will prepare or review modification packages, drawings, analyses, specs, and vendor bid evaluations, and lead project teams.

The role is hybrid, requiring in-office work three days per week with two days remote, offering opportunity to interface with client sites and contribute to critical plant modifications.

Qualifications

• BSME with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from a Canadian EAB-accredited program or ABET-accredited program
• 10+ years of experience in the power industry
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical design of nuclear plants
• Prior commercial nuclear industry experience

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants
• Prepare or review functional mechanical drawings for plant systems
• Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations for modifications and operation
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment
• Lead engineering project teams
