Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Station Construction Manager in Canada to lead major rail transit station construction within a design-build/P3 environment. The role oversees civil, structural, MEP, and finishes, coordinating multidiscipline teams for safe, on-time delivery and operational readiness.

The successful candidate will bring 15+ years in infrastructure construction, strong leadership, stakeholder management, and expertise in urban construction sequencing, risk management, and QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

• Degree/diploma required in construction-related field.
• Minimum 15+ years leading major infrastructure construction projects.
• Proven experience in design-build and/or P3 delivery models.
• Experience working in urban, brownfield, or live-operating environments is highly desirable.
• Experience managing unionized construction workforces is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all station construction activities from mobilization through substantial completion and handover.
• Oversee day-to-day field operations to ensure safety and adherence to drawings, specs, and methods.
• Coordinate station construction sequencing with adjacent works and utilities.
• Monitor productivity, schedule performance, and milestones across multiple fronts.
• Champion safety culture and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with design/technical teams to address constructability and maintain design intent.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate design revisions and manage impacts on schedule, cost, and interfaces.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular progress and risk reporting; mitigate conflicts and logistics challenges.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and as-built documentation.
