Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Station Design Manager in Canada to lead the multidisciplinary design of high-speed rail stations from concept through IFC. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, passenger experience standards, and lifecycle targets, while coordinating interfaces with rail systems and civil works.

The role requires 15+ years in major projects, 10+ in leadership, and fluency in French.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15 years of relevant experience on major projects, including at least 10 years in a leadership role.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex, highly regulated infrastructure project environments.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with executive-level stakeholders, authorities, and partners.
• Able to communicate in French both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the multidisciplinary design of HSR stations and associated facilities, from concept through IFC, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Establish and enforce technical governance, including design reviews, change management, configuration management, and decision traceability.
• Ensure designs comply with project requirements, Canadian codes and regulations, and passenger experience standards.
• Drive interface management between stations and rail systems, civil works, energy systems, and municipal infrastructure.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to support permitting, approvals, accessibility requirements, and environmental processes.
• Integrate operational, passenger experience, safety and security, sustainability, maintainability, multimodal connectivity and life-cycle cost considerations into design decisions.
• Manage design and construction risks while supporting cost optimization and value engineering.
• Ensure station design deliverables meet program schedule, budget, quality, and scope requirements.
• Support procurement and tender preparation, including scope definition, technical criteria, and proposal evaluations.
