Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a design lead for high-speed rail stations within a major infrastructure program. You will collaborate with the Station Design Manager, coordinate multi-discipline design through IFC, and ensure alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards.

The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams on large transportation facilities, strong stakeholder communication, and experience with design governance and life-cycle considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience on major transportation projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design of stations or large transportation buildings.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Station Design Manager to define goals, timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design of HSR stations from concept to IFC.
• Support governance, design reviews, change management and decision traceability.
• Ensure design compliance with project requirements, codes and accessibility standards.
• Drive interface management between stations and rail systems, civil works, and energy systems.
• Assist with regulatory approvals and environmental processes.
• Incorporate lifecycle cost, safety, sustainability into design decisions.
• Support procurement and tender preparation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or related

5+ years experience in major transportation projects

Leadership of multidisciplinary design teams

Strong communication in English
