Job summary

Clio is seeking a Software Development Manager to join our Vancouver-based Engineering team, with a requirement to be in the Burnaby hub twice weekly on Anchor Days. This hands-on leadership role focuses on growing teams, coaching engineers, and delivering solid technical solutions within a collaborative triad.

You will mentor engineers, review code and architecture, and drive impactful roadmaps while maintaining strong product and technical outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in leading software teams, especially for large-scale SaaS products.
• Strong hands-on software development background with architecture experience.
• Ability to hire, motivate, and retain top engineering talent in a fast-paced market.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your triad to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and craft a roadmap.
• Design technical solutions with the team and review architectural decisions.
• Provide constructive feedback on code reviews and architecture documents.
• Actively contribute as a hands-on coder or reviewer on projects.
• Conduct 1:1 meetings to support career growth and development goals.
• Participate in hiring to grow the engineering team and raise capabilities.
