Job summary

Clio is seeking a Software Development Manager to join our Vancouver-based Engineering team, with a requirement to be in the Burnaby hub twice weekly on Anchor Days. This hands-on leadership role focuses on growing teams, coaching engineers, and delivering solid technical solutions within a collaborative triad.

You will mentor engineers, review code and architecture, and drive impactful roadmaps while maintaining strong product and technical outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

We are currently seeking a Software Development Manager to join our Engineering team. We have location specific roles posted on our career page. This role is only open to candidates based in Vancouver. This role will require a presence in the Burnaby hub office twice a week on one of our Anchor Days.

A Day in the Life

• Collaborating with your triad to: understand the challenges our business faces, identify the most impactful opportunities, and craft a roadmap for the team
• Working with your team on designing the technical solutions
• Giving great feedback on code reviews, architecture documents, and more to help support team members making great technical decisions for their projects
• Actively participating as a contributor to the project, either through extensive code reviews, or shipping code
• Having a 1:1 meeting with your direct reports to make sure they are supported in their career growth and development goals
• Actively participating in hiring to grow engineering team at Clio
• Reviewing code contributed by members from your team or other Clio developers reaching out to you for your experience with a given technology or pattern

The expected salary range for this role is $180,500 to $270,700 CAD. Initial placement within the range is informed by geographic region, experience, and skillset, with room to progress as impact and tenure grow. Final offer amounts will vary based on candidate profile.
